Frequently Asked Questions
What are scented wax melts?
Wax melts are an easy, flame-free alternative to candles, oil diffusers, and other home fragrance solutions. Wax melts are placed in a wax warmer, and warmed with a hot plate or light bulb located inside. Once the wax begins to melt, your room will be filled with fragrance.
How many wax melts should I be melting in my warmer?
We recommend starting with 2-3 of our scented soy wax melts in the wax warmer and increase the number of melts to increase the intensity of fragrance. Do not use more than 7 wax melts at a time in the silicone cup.
How do I start wax melting?
We recommend starting with 1-2 melts in the wax warmer. Mixing melts is highly recommended to create exiting-custom scents. Our rule of thumb is to melt 2 wax melts at a time for 8-10 hours of scent time, giving you maximum value.
How strong are the scents?
Scent sensitivity varies from person to person. We load our melts with the highest amount of fragrance oil possible, because we want your melts to last longer and their scent to travel further! If you are concerned about scent strength and it being too strong, just start with 1 melt and “take it from there.”
What are the ingredients in your wax melts?
All-natural soy wax, phthalate-free essential oil-infused fragrance oil, non-toxic, mica free dyes.
Are your wax melts safe to use around kids?
Yes, our soy wax melts are safe to use around children so long as they are being used for their intended purposes. In addition to making all of our wax melts with 100% all natural soy wax, we also proudly make our wax melts paraffin and phthalate-free!
How do I clean the wax after use from the wax warmer?
Included in every warmer is our silicone wax melt removal cup which allows for super simple clean-up. Once the wax cools off, simply remove the silicone cup and 'pop' out the used wax into the waste bin. No mess, no scrape, no problem!
Can the Aura Wax Warmer be used to diffuse fragrance oil?
Aura Wax Warmer is specifically designed for use with our wax melts, so we do not recommend the use of any other fragrance products. Oils may require different temperatures or diffusion techniques for which our warmers are not suitable. We recommend only using GoodMelts wax melts in the Aura Wax Warmer.
How do I clean the silicone cup?
Good Melts silicone cup are designed to make your life easier. They just require a bit of maintenance. Just wash the silicon cup with a drop of dish washing soap and water between melting different fragrances.
Why is Soy wax better?
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from soybeans and is biodegradable. Soy wax is not only healthier for air quality, it also comes from a renewable resource, making it more environmentally friendly!
Other brands typically use paraffin wax which is derived from petroleum, which is not a renewable resource. It has been claimed that paraffin wax releases toxic fumes when burnt.
How do I dispose of the used wax?
Once the wax hardens in the silicone cup, just pop the wax out of the cup and throw the wax in the dustbin. It is biodegradable.
Do now throw melted wax in drain or basin as it may block the them.
